The Como Hotel – Dining Area

Part of the Como Hotel renovations included a refurbishment of its main dining room. 

One of the main features of the new dining room is the stunning powder-coated steel bulkhead in the centre of the room.  To tie in with the greenery in the bar area, we used H-2003 Lg Pothos Hanging Bush in black pots at regular intervals around the bulkhead to create a soft fringe of greenery.  We deliberately thinned out the bush to ensure that we did not obscure the decorative bulkhead and light fixtures too much.

Another feature was the slim planter boxes behind the mustard coloured banquette seating.  In order not to intrude upon the space of diners seated at the banquettes, and to add some height to draw the eyes towards the decorative wall panelling, we used a mix of H-2008 Pothos Hanging Bush and H-2630/75 Single Fiddle Leaf Plant.
